Wherever possible, the tree surgeons on our team will do whatever is possible to protect a healthy tree. Unfortunately, if a disease or a pest infestation has spread, or if a tree has become dangerous, it is often the safest choice to fell or dismantle it. At Oakfall Tree Surgery, we offer a responsive tree removal service using a series of techniques to preserve gardens, grounds and nearby properties.
Choose us for tree removal services in the following areas:
Alton | Basingstoke | Farnham | Fleet | Hartley Wintney | Hook
It is common for us to meet customers who have preconceptions about tree surgery services, often consolidated by images on television or in cinema of lumberjacks felling with axes or mechanical equipment.
The reality of a tree removal service is somewhat different.
Tree surgeons work in a more controlled, strategic manner. While we still use chainsaws and other equipment, a directional fall isn’t the only option available. Sectional dismantling is another form of tree removal that can be safely employed in specific scenarios.
Should you need a tree removed urgently, we also offer the services of an emergency tree surgeon on a genuine 24/7 basis.
For remnants, we can offer you a supporting stump grinding service.
Directional Felling
This tree surgery technique will be more familiar to our customers, and it involves us using chainsaws and hand tools to make cuts into the trunk to create a hinge. This hinge controls the descent of a tree in a controlled direction, eliminating the risk of it falling onto property while also protecting other trees in its vicinity.
This form of tree removal works well if the specimen is located in an area close to buildings, power lines and similar hazards.
Sectional Dismantling
Tree surgeons also have the option to use sectional dismantling for a tree removal. This is a piece-by-piece process ideally suited to removing trees in confined spaces. Oakfall Tree Surgery’s team will take down the affected tree in stages, from the top down, using a rope-and-pulley system to lower the removed limbs to the ground.
This method is also used when a directional fell isn’t possible due to the potential of damage to nearby properties or infrastructure.
